The Social Subcommittee and Task Force on Well-being conducted a survey among senior Fellows to understand their preferred social and well-being activities. 54 responses have been received, and the result was published in the Academyfocus October 2024 issue (P.8-9).

The Academy and is Young Fellows Chapter conducted a territory-wide cross-sectional study titled ‘Burnout and well-being in young doctors in Hong Kong: a territory-wide cross-sectional survey’ in the first half of 2019, and revealed that over 70% of local young doctors who responded reported personal or work-related burnout, with a high prevalence of depression (21%).
